SOUTH BROAD DISTRICT. CHATTANOOGA

CLIENT: New City + Hardball Capital SCOPE OF WORK: Masterplan, Architecture, Interiors SIZE: 870,000 SF LOCATION: Chattanooga, TN STATUS: Design

S9 Architecture designed and master planned Chattanooga’s Pipe Works District, a US Pipe and Wheland foundry adaptively revitalized as an entertainment district. This mixed-use development along the Tennessee River and residing at the heart of the South Broad District acts as the catalyst project for a once bustling industrial center. The plan contains a new minor league ballpark nested within remarkably crafted industrial buildings that will be repurposed into retail, entertainment, and offices for gametime patrons and baseball team staff. On the opposite end of the new ball field will be 2 buidings, an office and a multifamily development, that are contemporary adaptations of the surrounding architecture that complete the holistic vision of a completely integrated mixed-use complex.
